Some time in the mid 90s, I was at a place where like-minded people gathered. They were light workers and healers. During that meet, I was introduced to Reiki. Back then, having just reawakened, I had no idea What is Reiki Healing?
Kindly allow me to further elaborate my story of what happened. I was spiritually awakened since a child. Then something happened. A trauma. And because of that, I shut down spiritually and psychically.
Then in the 90s, new energies arrived, and they triggered me. I was spiritually reawakened. The first sign of the reawakening was the return of my psychic abilities.
First, was the ability called psychometry. I could not handle it. Every person that I touched would result in my seeing their lives with my third eye.
A kind friend invited me to attend that gathering of like-minded people. I was hesitant. But I was also desperate for help. He said there may be people in the group who could help me understand what was happening to me.
With nothing to lose, I decided to go to that event. And there, I was introduced to Reiki.

What is Reiki?
After that introduction to Reiki, I found out more about what was all about. One thing that irked me a little was how they made it sounded like it was something new, and like I needed to be initiated to be part of a special group.
From that group of healers, I learned that Reiki ( 靈氣, which was pronouced as ‘ray key’ ) was a Japanese word given by a Japanese doctor whose name is Dr. Mikao Usui. He rediscovered this cosmic energy, and packaged it as a energy healing modality.
In the following years, I learned more about energy healing. There are actually many forms of energy healing. There is the prana healing, vital fire healing, the Usui Reiki healing system, and many more. Each teaches good. And teaches how to use the universal life force to heal ourselves, and others.
The Japanese word for ‘Rei’ or ‘靈’ means spiritual or universal. It is the same word and meaning in Chinese, too. The ‘ki’ word in Reiki is also the Chinese word for ‘Qi’ or ‘Chi’. This is the Chinese word for energy.
In Chinese Kung Fu, there is Qi Gong. It means energy work. Qi Gong is a practice with movement, breathing and meditation to enhance the internal energies of the practitioner.
With the help of my spirit guides, I remembered that Reiki is not anything new. It is simply the universal life force. It is a form of energy. And it has been around since the beginning. It is everywhere. It is all around us, and within us.
What is Photon Reiki?
In the early 2000s, I channeled a form of energy healing. I was shy about sharing it. But would practice it. And the results were really good. I share a story of a healing I did during the 2004 tsunami disaster in the section below.
At first, I had no name for the type of energy healing I did. Then my spirit guide told me about the new energies coming from the photon belt. I checked it out on the Internet, and found out that these new energies have been coming since the late 1990s.
I was stunned by the coincidence. I recalled that I was spiritually reawakened around that time. With more help from my spirit guide, I realized the channeled healing technique was using these new energies from the photon belt.
The energies are photon, that is light in nature. And they are of very high vibration. They have continued to arrive since 1990s. Today, the energies are coming in even stronger.

What Can Reiki Heal?
It is not easy for me to write this portion of this article. The reason is I do not want you to get the wrong idea that Reiki can cure sickness, diseases or heal injuries.
Let me be very clear from the start. Reiki can heal. Sometimes, it can heal to the point that it can seem to be a miracle. Sometimes, it just improves the ailment.
Do not take it as a cure. While some do get fully healed, the best way to approach this is to complement it with medicine. It can be eastern or western medicine. So, when you are unwell, do consult a doctor.
Having said that, I have met people who have tried all the conventional medicine, and they are looking for alternative healing. And I have seen them consider Reiki as an option.
Through my years of healing, I have found that Reiki can alleviate pain and suffering. This can be in the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual form. As such, it can help ease injuries, speed up recovery, resolve emotional issues, and do many more types of healing.
Healing Tip: If you are not a doctor or medically qualified, never diagnose, and never give medical instructions; e.g. prescribe certain approved drugs.
Healing For A Thai Police Officer
In 2004, after the tsunami disaster, I offered to do healing for survivors. A hotel manager in Phuket, who believed in energy healing, accepted my help. For days, I did Photon Reiki for anyone who had any trauma or ailment.
During one of the healing sessions, a local Thai Police Officer, named Nikorn, came for some healing. He was cynical but had stiff neck for many years. Nothing could alleviate the pain. Not even medicine.
For years, he could not turn his head left or right without experiencing excruciating pain. As such, when he looked left or right, he had to turn entire body.
I did the usual healing session by sending Photon Reiki energies to him. After an hour or so, I tapped Nikorn, who had fallen asleep, to signal that the session was over. He was puzzled.
He looked at me like he was thinking, “What did this guy do?”
As far as he knew, all he experienced was lying down on a massage bed, and the next thing he knew was he fell into deep sleep. Of course, during his rest, he was unaware that I did Photon Reiki for him. Still, although skeptical, he was polite, and thanked me.
Two days later, he came back and booked another healing session. With a translator, I learned that he no longer had the stiff neck problem, and he slept very well since the healing session. He was elated, showed me how flexible his shoulders became. Plus, there was no pain. He kept giving me two thumbs up.
What is Reiki Attunement?
To me, everyone is born with the ability to tap into this universal life force energy. So, there is really no need for any attunement.
And I do know that many healing systems, like Usui Reiki, requires attunement. This is where the teacher passes on the ability to channel the Reiki energy. It is done by clearing any blocks in your energy fields.
Ah. And that is where sometimes attunement may be needed.

Do You Need to Be Attuned?
While I have said that people actually do not need an attunement to do Reiki, I do acknowledge that many people find it hard to channel the universal life force energy.
This is because many people have energy blocks. These blocks are in the energy fields around human beings. And these blocks can hinder the flow of the cosmic energies.
For Photon Reiki, I would suggest that anyone interested can learn and practice it. And if they find that the energies are not flowing well, then request for an attunement.
Some people may not have strong energy blocks. As they practice Photon Reiki, they may find that these blocks will naturally be cleared. Hence, there may not be a need for attunement.
Another reason to get attunement is when you need help to be aligned with the cosmic energies. Or when you need help with being more sensitive to the energies.
How to Heal with Photon Reiki?
Many healing systems require placing of hands on the body of the person they are healing. For Photon Reiki, this is optional.
Photon Reiki can be done from a distance. As such, it can also be done as distant healing. The former is to stand at a distance from the person to be healed. The latter can be done even when the person to be healed is at another location.
The healing is done with some preparations. This is by setting up the physical space to make it conducive for healing. Then a meditation to invite divine powers to assist with the healing.
Then the healer will bring in the photon energies. These energies fill the room. They also flow into the bodies of the healer and the person to be healed.

Thank you for sharing your life story. I am happy you could solve the problem for the person with that stiff neck. It must have been unpleasant to not be able to move it. A great relief after your treatment being able to move his neck again.
I think our modern lifestyle, including the unhealthy foods people eat nowadays, block from receiving these energies. Perhaps a detox on all levels, mental, spiritual, and physical could help?
