Who is Avalokiteshvara?

Back in the 2000s, before I channeled Flowing Love Meditation, I had a change of spirit guide. Archangel Michael, my previous guide, left.

Then Avalokiteshvara came in as my new spirit guide. Well, not actually new. He had been my spirit guide in the past. Now, he is back as my spirit guide again.

So who is Avalokiteshvara?

During a meditation, Avalokiteshvara came, and I was shown his story. I later remembered that he was my spirit guide when I was a young boy, and he had told me his story before. Due to my psychic shutdown, I had forgotten. This was more a revision, when he retold his story again.

I realized then that Avalokiteshvara is also known as Guan Yin Bodhisattva, Chenrezig in Tibetan, and many more names.

Many of you are familiar with Guanyin Bodhisattva. And many of you are not aware that his energy is a ‘he’, not a ‘she’.

Avalokiteshvara shared with me that he was originally from India. As Buddhism spread to China, so did the sutras. And stories about Avalokiteshvara.

And one particular Chinese novelist was fascinated by Avalokiteshvara. He created a work of fiction called Guanyin Attaining the Path.

In this work of fiction, he wrote about a princess who became Guanyin Bodhisattva. While the intent of the novel was good, it was not a historical fact. The novel’s intent to promote and extol spiritual efficacy and greatness of Guanyin Bodhisattva remained good, though.

Avalokiteshvara In The Sutras

When I was writing the script for this video, I decided to find out if what Avalokiteshvara told me in my meditation was true. I searched and scoured the Internet.

And I came across a video by the Venerable Chan Master Sheng Yen. The title of the video is – Is Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara) Bodhisattva a real historical person?

And I am thankful for Master Sheng Yen’s sharing about Avalokiteshvara in that video. Everything he said matched what Avalokiteshvara told me.

It was confirmation. Finally, after all these years.

In summary, Master Sheng Yen said that Avalokiteshvara is a Bodhisattva. And Bodhisattvas are enlightened beings who have put off entering paradise in order to help others attain enlightenment.

Avalokiteshvara was mentioned in many sutras such as Great Compassion Dharani Sutra, and has more than 33 manifestations. Master Sheng Yen also mentioned that in one of the sutras, there was mention of Avalokiteshvara in India where he resided on an island, at a place allied Potaraka Mountain. Avalokiteshvara was also introduced by Shakyamuni Buddha in different sutras.

Master Sheng Yen shared many more enlightening facts about Avalokiteshvara. You can watch that video here pasted below:

What is the significance of Avalokiteshvara in my life, and especially for Flowing Love Meditation?

As mentioned earlier, he became my Spirit Guide during the change of guides in 2000. It was awesome!

And months later, during another meditation, I channeled the Flowing Love Meditation. I shared about the experience in a previous blog post.

In that previous blog post, about me channeling the Flowing Love Meditation, I shared about how I felt something happening during a meditation. And later I realized it was a complete meditation from Avalokiteshvara.

He gave it as a gift to the world. For people who need healing on all levels. For people who need to manifest their dreams. For so many uses to help people.

The meditation can help people in many other ways. I will share them all in future blog posts. So, remember to join the the Flowing Love Meditation community, and get updates whenever I publish a new video or blog post.
