I am someone who believes in manifesting our desires. Creating the world and reality as we would like it to be. And one of the starting points for this to happen is to think positive thoughts.

Many of us have negative thoughts most of the time. I used to be like that in the past. But, I learned to think positive. That is because I believe our thoughts create our reality.

And it is not just about creating our reality. By changing our thoughts, we can change our perception about something. A simple switch from one mindset to another, and our whole world changes.

And many times, ever since I learned to do that, I have found peace. Something that used to upset me no longer does.

When I change how I perceive a situation, I learn a lesson. I grow and evolve. I become calmer, more accepting and more tolerant.

Who is Norman Vincent Peale?

I found out that Norman Vincent Peale wrote a best selling book titled – The Power of Positive Thinking. This does sound like a book I would love to read.

To be honest, I hardly do not read many self help, self improvement or spiritual books. Most of what I learn about life and spirituality, I learn from my conversations with my spirit guides.

Besides being an author, Norman Vincent Peale was an American minister, too. He was a pastor at the Marble Collegiate Church in New York. Apparently, his ideas and techniques were considered quite controversial. As such, he received much frequent criticism from the church.

I am so sorry to hear that he had a hard time. I can empathize.

In the past, I had a few encounters with people I know who would argue and criticize my way of thinking positive. I even had one guy who argued about the difference between thinking positive and positive thinking.

Somehow, he believed that they are different. And he said he said he is agreeable with the concept of thinking positive but cannot accept positive thinking.

I did not know what to say. haha

I have learned to not bother what other people think. I just keep thinking positive, and live my wonderful life.

It is definitely true! I too practice this. I would repeat a particular phrase over and over again, many times a day. And the idea is to change my thought. Change my behavior. And eventually change my world. 😀
