Why are More People Meditating?
During the past few years, many people are feeling stressed. One of the reasons is because of the covid pandemic.
For these people, I am sure they were recommended many ways to relieve stress. One of them is meditation.
While the pandemic did cause a lot of people to be stressed, it is not the only time when people were stressed. For many years, when I was conducting meditation courses, I had students who attended my meditation sessions.
And when I asked why they were attending meditation. And they answered it was because they were stressed from pressures at work.
They seek meditation to help relieve stress caused by work.
There are many other reasons people are learning and practicing meditation. This is because there are many benefits to practicing it.
Meditation Has Its Benefits
Meditation has been known to bring many benefits to the practitioner. There are many benefits, and here are some of them.
It does help people to relieve stress. When you meditate, you feel calmer, and more peaceful. And you feel the stress just melt away.
Calm The Mind
Meditation can help you calm the mind by relaxing and focusing on one thought.
Be More Relaxed
As mentioned, it can help you be more relaxed.
Be More Focused
Because meditation is practice, focusing on one thought, it does help you practice the art of focusing. So, you become more focused.
Meditation also helps people who are having insomnia. I have had students who had insomnia.
I didn’t know they had insomnia. They come for meditation. After the meditation class, they came back and told me they had insomnia. Meditation helped. They were actually able to get a good night’s sleep.
Good Health and Well Being
Meditation can also bring about good health and well being.
Lowers Blood Pressure
Meditation has been known to lower blood pressure. In fact, today, many doctors are recommending meditation to their patients. To help them reduce their blood pressure.
In fact, the first meditation course that I attended was by a doctor, Dr KK Tan. He did mention that, from his experience, when people had high blood pressure, they came for his courses, he did note that they had a marked reduction in their blood pressure.
Of course, meditation can also bring about spiritual experiences. As you all know, in this channel, I spoke about a lot of my spiritual experiences.
These spiritual experiences are like being able to see spirits and other realms.
Spiritual Well Being
Not just spiritual experiences. Meditation can actually bring about spiritual well being.
And it is also known that another benefit is that people have been known to receive healing during meditation.

As you can see, there are so many reasons why people meditate. Everyone has their own unique reason or reasons. And because of that reason or reasons, they feel a need to meditate.
Some may start with just exploring it. Some may eventually attend courses, and practice it. And some enjoy it so much that they practice it regularly.
